Coined as a “lifestyle hotel,” the structure showcases a new dynamic in hospitality…the integration of music and design. In 2010, Aloft celebrated the opening of several new hotels, including one in Chesapeake, Virginia. To ensure this property would live up to the reputation of the brand, Aloft Hotels decided upon the use of ALPOLIC ACM and MCM. For interior and exterior usage – including entryways, fascia, canopies, accents and walls – the fabricators at Roof Services Corporation successfully used ALPOLIC panels as a means to make Aloft’s appearance as modern as the service it provides.
Luxury is synonymous with Hotel Fasano’s South American retreats. Fasano Hotels has three locations in Brazil. Each hotel, while unique in design, exudes panache from the inside out. Located in the small municipal city of Porto Feliz, 100km outside of São Paulo, sits the Hotel Fasano Boa Vista. Comfort is a primary feature in hospitality, but equally important is the ability for the structure to be a departure from everyday residential living.
Research suggests a correlation between architecture and the improvement of human health. With that in mind, the architects of NORD created a healthcare facility with the subtle nuances of a residential project. Healthcare construction is often overly extravagant or too minimal. As a cancer treatment facility, the architects’ were required to construct an iconic structure without overpowering the building’s purpose.
Amidst the snowy mountains of Hinterglemm, Austria lies the Hotel Wiesergut, a whimsical creation of Austrian design firm, Gogl Architekten. The project required renovating the existing structure with more modern elements of design. The organic nature of its construction allows the hotel to blends into the surrounding landscape. Resembling winter with its locally sourced building materials, the hotel utilized dark timber, natural stone, granite, glass and concrete in its construction.
